David A. Sigel

Within two worlds comes two spaces from where and what I capture in my work. I am an arts educator and artist. This allows me to maintain two studios. One outside Philadelphia and one on Cape Cod. While teaching, the work is often small, experimental, and made in a short burst of time. I often refer to this work as leaning towards the surreal. The work created in Massachusetts is almost always observed landscapes.  This constant practice and desire to learn allows these two professions and bodies of work to inform and fuel each other.
